El Nido, Palawan — The Municipality of El Nido has officially inaugurated Palawan Province’s first-ever Modular Water Treatment Plant (modTP) in Bulalacao. Developed by Earth Lab, through its parent company POWER 4 ALL, the facility marks a major step in delivering clean, safe, and reliable drinking water to residents and visitors, while boosting the town’s water security amid rising tourism.

The ceremony began with a blessing led by a local priest, followed by a ribbon-cutting with Earth Lab Senior Vice President Hans Woldring and Mayor Edna Gacot-Lim, symbolizing the strong partnership behind the project.
Equipped with advanced treatment technology, the modTP meets both national and international water quality standards and can process up to 3 million liters per day, offering a sustainable solution for the municipality’s growing water needs.

Mayor Edna Gacot-Lim highlighted the project’s role in supporting sustainable development, ensuring reliable water access for households and businesses, and environmental protection. Meanwhile, representatives from POWER 4 ALL and Earth Lab reaffirmed their commitment to delivering modern, eco-friendly water solutions across high-growth and underserved communities in the Philippines.

Earth Lab President and Founder Angelo Valenton emphasized the broader impact of the initiative, stating, “This is not just an infrastructure project—it’s a promise fulfilled, a future secured, and a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together.”

The program concluded with an open forum led by Adrian Cantos, Earth Labs’s Customer Support Manager, who addressed community questions about plant operations, safety systems, and future expansion plans. He assured attendees that the facility meets the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water and is fully ready for continuous operation.
The inauguration marks a historic milestone for El Nido and the entire province of Palawan, demonstrating a firm commitment to sustainable water security and improved quality of life for all.
