Anabu Modular Water Treatment Plant

The Maynilad Anabu Modular Treatment Plant (ModTP) is a water treatment facility located in Imus, Cavite, Philippines. This plant is one of four modular treatment plants that Maynilad Water Services, Inc. is constructing in Cavite province to enhance water supply in the area. The Anabu ModTP sources raw water from the Anabu River and utilizes advanced treatment technologies, including Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis, to produce potable water.

In June 2023, the plant started up, initially producing 5.5 million liters per day (MLD) of drinkable water, enough to supply about 13,000 consumers. In September 2023, the plant reached full operating capacity and expanded to 16 MLD, currently serving about 114,000 persons in Imus City.

Because of its distance from Maynilad's main source, the Angat Dam in Bulacan, Imus formerly lacked a 24-hour water supply. This obstacle was addressed with the construction of the Anabu ModTP. Maynilad hopes to improve service dependability and lessen the effects of climate-related events, such El Niño, on water availability by utilizing nearby water sources, such as the Anabu River.

The Anabu ModTP exemplifies Maynilad's commitment to improving water infrastructure and ensuring a reliable water supply for communities in Cavite.
